The case

Skerry Point lighthouse stands on a rocky headland. Three nights ago the page for that night was torn out of the keeper's logbook, and the same night the spare signal lantern vanished from the storeroom. The inspector arrives tomorrow and the keeper, old Bram Tolley, is fretting. You are a visitor staying for the day, and he has asked you to find out what happened. Three people were at the lighthouse that night: the keeper's assistant Nell Parrish, the boat captain Joss Marlow, and the lighthouse's cook Dorrie Finch.

Your goal: Work out who tore out the log page and accuse them with the evidence that proves it (at least two key clues). Two wrong accusations and the culprit slips away with the secret.
